JOB PURPOSE

 

Under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor, the Public Area Attendant has the primary responsibility of ensuring all guest areas are clean and safe to be used.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • To be responsible for the cleanliness & hygiene of all outdoor and indoor areas of the club as laid down in the daily cleaning schedules.
  • Cleaning includes using equipment on various surfaces such as; sweeping, wiping, washing, dusting, polishing and general tidying.
  • The cleaning will be fitness rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, corridors and communal rest areas.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the Club and maintain standards at all times. Report any deficiencies in the cleaning programmes.
  • Maintain the effective use of supplies and avoid wastage.
  • Report all related maintenance, near accidents, injuries, suspicious activity or health and safety issues to their Supervisor.
  • To look after the assets of the Club and to take care of all cleaning equipment.
  • Be aware and monitor the security of guest belongings and follow lost and found procedures.
  • Be friendly, courteous and welcoming in the presence of guests.
  • Be familiar with the facility, services and operations of the Club to give information, as required.
  • Perform any task deemed necessary by management to contribute to operation of the Club.
  • Prepare spa treatment rooms and keep locker room and gym facilities tidy
  • Assist spa guests and members where needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

 

Qualification:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Some on the job training in Housekeeping

 

Experience:

  • Experience of housekeeping in Hotel / 5* Facility in MENA region.
  • Experience of working in cleaning teams following procedures / methods and schedules.
  • Used cleaning equipment / materials.
  • Spa Experience advantageous

 

Skills:

  • Takes pride in the work they do to achieve results and standards to time and quality.
  • Can handle multiple tasks and demands.
  • Physically fit to clean, bend, lift, stretch and use equipment.
  • Detail minded to complete all tasks.
  • Flexible to work shifts, nights and weekends.
